West Brom v Luton - David Webb

Not a very good performance from Mr Webb today.
There were several strange decisions in the first half that
baffled both sets of players as well as supporters and TA’s.
He appeared to fail to recognise basic offences and as a result
players became frustrated at the lack of action.
As a result, in the last 15mins of the first half he was like a
‘rabbit in the headlights’ and didn’t recognise or react to the
change in pace of the game.
It was obvious that he had lost his authority and players were
questioning virtually every decision as they had no confidence
       in him.
The second half wasn’t much better with two poor cautions, the
fist being Bradley from Luton followed by Yokuslu from West
Brom. Both of these seemed an attempt to regain his authority
as both offences didn’t warrant a caution.
Overall, this was a disappointing performance. (the game wasn't
       much better!!)

Doombar ---sad to say, that is almost a replica of his
performance at Turf Moor on Tuesday night when refereeing
Burnley v Stoke ---I gave up trying to make sense of it. It is
sad that we are having to observe these strange events.
