Masterclass in which he even made the effort to not wear yellow.
Masterclass from Turpin last night as well. He wore black kit
with blue socks to avoid a clash. The use of yellow would have
       avoided that

Good effort from team ref. UEFA had put y****w for István
yesterday but he's a good boy and wore red instead. He was also
       excellent.

He reminds me of Mark Clattenburg with the faces he pulls.
He's like an old school referee still using a notebook.

He still uses the 2 handed signal for advantages as well - I
       love it!

Ranger goalie wore a vile yellow kit, and if I remember
correctly, Team ref is not allowed to wear y****w in that case?
István is a good boy to refuse y****w. 👏
Danny Makkelie - tbh I don’t recall when he wore the y****w for
the last time in international games, so that’s good. However,
in domestic league he is cheeky and still wears the vile green,
and few weeks ago the y****w in 2nd league. 😏

They will try to avoid clashing with goalies but it's not always
possible. Team A might be in black with their goalie looking
vile, Team B in blue with their goalie in red so they would have
no choice but to wear the same as a goalie.

       Law
The two teams must wear colours that distinguish them from each
       other and the match officials
       • Each goalkeeper must wear colours that are
distinguishable from the other players and the match officials
       • If the two goalkeepers’ shirts are the same colour and
neither has another shirt, the referee allows the match to be
       played
Two points: Firstly, my reading of that is that it is the
responsibility of the teams and the goalkeepers to change their
colours, not the match officials, otherwise it would say The
match officials must wear colours that are distinguishable from
the players. Secondly, there is no dispensation for goalkeepers
to wear the same colour as the match officials if they don't
have another shirt, only if their shirts are the same colour as
each other. I don't suppose any of us actually want to stop a
match being played for that reason but that is the Law.
