Great to see the headband warrior in action in the flesh last
night!
Thought he had a good game personally, letting the game flow
wherever possible and allowing physicality in what was a game
that could have quite easily have boiled over. Firm but fair on
the bookings.

I cannot recall seeing Mr Bond before and I enjoyed the game if
only for his performance. He denied a penalty claim in favour of
Sunderland which frankly I would hate to arbitrate upon in real
time. Possible contact on line or just outside box yet the
tackled player lands almost on the penalty spot. Cynical fouls
just outside the box players diving or refusing to make an
effort to stay on their feet. It all came into play. Mr Bond
went safe and I for one cannot blame him.
He looks very intense and an imposing character. Do not mess
with me! Well refereed imho.

I saw Darren Bond at Crewe Alex in one of his early games on the
FL and thought he was good. And that was before he grew his
hair!
