Michael Salisbury - Newcastle v Palace

Order of the day across the premier league seems to have been
interesting VAR calls.
Utter disbelief at how Mason and Salisbury have come to this
decision though…

Don’t worry Lee Mason is only VAR for Man United vs Arsenal
tomorrow. You really have to question if Salisbury was actually
watching the monitor

Given technically that the GK is fouled you cannot play
advantage so correct decision is "no goal, penalty"?

According to Alan Shearer on motd Salisbury wasn't shown the
angel where its obvious Mitchell pushed Willock into the GK. Now
I don't know where he has this information from but if true the
question has to be why not?

United better not get a scandalous decision to win the game
tomorrow but the way things are going they will

Always seems that way when Tierney has a big call to make in a
united game.

I guess it's because the VAR thought there was a foul on the
keeper but didn't think there was a case for a penalty, so that
wouldn't have been a consideration for them - of course their
reasoning for thinking like that is a different matter!

I had a lot of sympathy for Michael Salisbury who I thought got
the decision right only to be thrown under a bus by Lee Mason.
To make matters worse we had Mr Sensible Alan Shearer and Danny
Murphy suggesting that ex-pros should be in charge of VAR
because "they know the game". It would help their cause if they
had even a smattering of knowledge of the LOTG.

It has been mentioned on another Thread, what I did like was
again when Michael Salisbury was explaining his decison to
Kieron Tierney he pushed away any of his team mates who tried to
confront Salisbury. Good captinancy in my view.
