Robert Jones- Brentford v Leeds

I have to be careful with what I say here but that was shocking
from Jones and VAR today.
The sooner a referee has the nerve to stick with his decision at
the monitor the better as personally if you have to look at it
for more than a minute then it’s not a clear and obvious error.
Then in the second half there was what I believe was a clear
foul on Summerville as he ran into the box not given, although
it started outside it continued into the area which unless the
law has changed is a penalty.
Also the main gripe I have is whenever I see Jones in the last
year or two which has been a fair bit there is no clear line for
what is and isn’t a foul which leads to players getting
frustrated which was the case again today.
However I can’t excuse Marsch’s conduct as however frustrated
you get you can’t act like that towards the officials and Jones
had every right to bin him.
Although Leeds were the victim of our own downfall in that
second half especially we certainly weren’t helped by the
officials and VAR’s performance today.

Agreed. I actually thought he was looking at a potential penalty
for handball, which I could understand a little bit, but he
gives it for the foul by Sinisterra, that's never a foul in a
million years. Not sure who the VAR was

I havent seen anything on todays game. The many comments on
social media are not favourable for Rob Jones. He was very poor
in the Leeds Wolves game. Thats 2 games out of the first 6 where
Jones has reffed Leeds. Each time he has apparently been poor.
Didn't think much of him when I saw him last season.

Haven’t seen any of the game or highlights but Rob Jones is
getting slaughtered over on Twitter. Then again most of todays
referees are

Michael Oliver did just that today so let's hope it sets a new
precedent. Happens all the time in other countries.

No surprise. How he hasn’t been banned from Shockley park will
always boggle everyone’s mind

Oh dear. Just on Match of the Day. Clear penalty for Leeds,
pundits agreed, not given by the well placed official nor was he
asked by Coote to review on the screen. Marsch wrong to react as
he did but after the VAR intervention for the Brentford penalty
undestandable. Incompetence by both of them. Don't expect
either to be near the Premier league next week, but.

I was less than impressed with the fourth official Keith Stroud
to be honest. The referee had already shown the red card so
Jesse Marsch knew where he was going but Stroud got involved and
started pointing to the stand and generally acting like 'little
big man' Totally unnecessary.
