Simply ridiculous. Missed red card for James and Antonio. Then
that rubbish from Gillett and Madley. Did they seriously think
that’s a foul?

I have recently endeavoured to defend our referees but the
decision to disallow that goal was " as good as useless ".
Utterly dreadful. Why on earth Gillett got involved I cannot
imagine and what Madley thought he saw as a foul beggars the
imagination. He needs a bit of coaching from Michael Oliver in
believing in and standing by your decisions.

VAR isn't really a new thing any more. It's been around in some
parts of the world for more than 5 years now. I don't think
there are going to be any major changes to VAR now for at least
the next decade or two. I am sure things will evolve like with
offside and hopefully better communication but I don't think
they're going to rip up the fundamentals and restart now.
There seem to be new leagues/competitions continuing to start
using it so I think we can safely say there's even less chance
it gets binned.
