Craig Pawson - Leicester vs Manchester United

Mediocre performance from Craig, no KMIs to deal with.
Cautions for Dalot and Malacia seemed slightly harsh, especially
considering clear cautions for Varane and Justin were missed.
Cautions for Maddison (dissent) and Martinez (SPA) correctly
given.
The main concern was his time keeping, which seems to be an
increasingly frequent issue this season. Despite 5 stoppages for
subs, several injuries and the expected time wasting from a side
leading 1-0, Craig only added on 4 minutes at the end of the
second half. He failed to take any action in order to try and
speed up the United players, neither being proactive or handing
out warnings/cautions.
Disappointing to see this creeping back in so soon, because for
the first few game weeks, referees seemed to be adding 6 and 7
minutes regularly - a more accurate reflection of the actual
stoppages throughout the game. Professional performance from
United to see the game out - if nobody is going to make them cut
down on the time wasting, why would they stop!

Though of course Andre Marriner the day before added the correct
amount of extra time and he was widely criticised for it

An average game to watch. My wife did observe that the referee
didn't appear to move things along. Throw ins, goalkeeper etc.
Shame as I thought it was being clamped down on. Manchester
United were cynical at times and it is a shame Madison missed
two attempts outside the box. That would have been a better
sanction.
Pawson was OK, arguably inconsistent with cards but why do
players get so aggressive when they have taken a player out
"trying to get the ball"?
2 poor football teams but I do fear for Leicester. If players
cannot deliver and/or new blood brought in, the manager is
changed to freshen things up. The contrast between the haves and
have not imho is destroying competition in the Premiership.

Seems to me there could be an addition to the special theory of
relativity - time slows down after 90 minutes of football.

Of course, however, this is completely relevant, or inversely
so, to the colour of one's eyes.

Agree with what posters 1/2 have said. Not pawsons best game but
probably understandable given the long week he’s had. He will be
back firing in a couple of weeks
