Andre Marriner - Liverpool v Newcastle

5 minutes added time and yes there was a very brief stoppage for
Pope but not sure where Andre got an additional 3 minutes on top
       of that
       Liverpool score on 98 minutes
Sickening as Newcastle deserved a point

Disappointed in Marriner for the reason the OP had stated
regarding the added time , other than that Marriner pretty much
stayed in the background but think Howe and Newcastle can count
       themselves unlucky

Because they are incompetent at keeping correct time as possibly
evidenced in two other games listed on this site tonight
The single biggest improvement that can be made to football is a
       timekeeper

Two Newcastle players went down with "cramp" in that time as
well, I fully expected there would be way more than the 5
       minutes added.

Marriner is a really experienced referee which makes it more
annoying he cant even keep time when he has a 4th offiical
Most referees manage it ok on their own with 2 watches on a
Sunday morning down managing the Dog and Duck FC

Wasn't a long stoppage though, Physio never came on

They were stoppages intended to waste time, as you say, the
physio never came on, however, Pope's injury took almost 3
minutes to treat and Klippety wasa doing his pieces! How ironic
that the scored the winner in that added time. Toon deserved a
draw, they didn't get one ---that's football!

No, because they cheated the system by getting players to treat
the cramp so they didn't have to go off. There was always going
to be at least another two minutes added onto of the five.

Not Marriner’s finest night with random foul detection and a
stonewall YC missed for Trippier and allowing of time wasting.
It’s a visit to BmB’s naughty step for Mr Marriner with the
choice of the y*****w kit choice.
No issues with the amount of added time in this game, Newcastle
players where wasting time right from the start with fake
injuries and cramp. If more games had proper time keeping
football would be a better game.

He has his own personalised spot on the naughty step, amount of
       time he wears THAT kit
