Well this VAR review is interesting… definite penalty but
they’ve gone yellow instead of red for DOGSO handball.
Overall, the right decision i think.. but a very bizarre and
unique scenario that was!

Anyone enlighten why yellow, was it because it wasnt guarenteed
Kane was going to get his head to it therefore not an obvious
goalscoring opportunity?

Excellent spot for penalty and yellow card. No OGSO. He’s been
absolutely terrific, and has enhanced a terrific game. Up there
with Oliver as best in country IMO

For me this meets all the OGSO requirements. How much more
obvious can a goal scoring opportunity be than heading the ball
in from 1 yard, and it’s highly likely that the ball would’ve
gone straight onto Kane’s head. Red card for me

Yellow card given to McKenna against West Ham for a save, so
Forest now believe they can get away with making saves in every
game - and rightly so it seems.
For me, the incident today and the incident vs West Ham are as
clear cut DOGSO as you can possibly get. Kane is 1 yard out,
with nobody in the way and is clearly going to head the ball.
The expectation of the players and spectators is a red card.
Maybe I’m thinking from a grassroots level rather than the
forensic analysis approach of the premier league.

I’ve just seen the handball incident again and it seems Kane
would have had a header at goal if it weren’t for the handball.
Just my opinion. Like the incident with Trippier and Jarred
Gillett last week, that will provoke plenty of debate once
again. For me though, it probably should have been a red card.
It’s a decision that will split the correspondents on here down
the middle again…as someone once said “Football is a matter of
opinions….”
I have to also mention that Craig Pawson is one of our more
respected and capable officials on the elite rank of referees.
He’s a world away from the nervous, diffident performer that
came onto the list some 8 years ago. Much more confident and
authoritative and has the respect of the players now, and can be
trusted to handle some of our top matches.

When I watched it in real time I thought red card dogso. After a
few replays, I thought maybe there was a foul on cook by Kane
but if there is a penalty being awarded I think there has to be
a red card shown as Kane most likely would have headed that in
had Cook not touched it.

I think Pawson is going from strength to strength this season he
certainly didn’t look flustered and didn’t let the players make
his mind up for him he had a terrific game and I hope he
continues in this vein of form

The ball may have been slightly (a couple of centimetres at
most) too high for Kane to head it goalbound so I suspect there
was enough doubt in Attwell’s mind to keep it as a caution. In
other words, VAR judged it lacked the “obvious” element of
DOGSO, which I can just about accept.
