I don't recall how often Oliver was VAR last season but he was
at Stockley Park on Saturday and he's there again next weekend
for Arsenal v Fulham. Not quite the same though as being at
       Craven Cottage as referee!

Yes, Oliver is certainly very different to Taylor in that he
does do regular VAR appointments. It's probably not as many as
some due to the fact he referees more matches but he certainly
wasn't anywhere close to 0 VAR appointments last season as
       Taylor was.
At least Oliver being VAR on a Fulham game ends any speculation
about whether he can officiate them or not!

It is interesting that Taylor doesn't do VAR. I think he's the
only one of the current SG1 group and didn't have a single PL VR
       appointment last season.
Of course if he doesn't enjoy it or it's not regarded as
something that he's so good at then there's no reason to use
him, just because he's a PL referee. They're different positions
as has been said many times before. It does suggest Taylor might
not go down the specialist VAR route whenever he stops as
Dean/Mason has done but I daresay he'll have some decent options
       anyway!

I don't think Oliver had many games as VAR either. It makes no
sense for two reasons: they aren't going to do VAR in Europe,
but also their workload is higher than most of the EPL referees
as they are constantly off for UEFA games or get togethers.
Arguably they should also have less EPL middles than the other
referees, but the lack of talent means they have to be
overworked, no need to add additional games as VAR onto that
       workload.

Tierney is the one who gets appointed the most in the premier
league, its 2 times a week almost every week

Massey-Ellis is AVAR at the U20 Womens world cup. Darren Cann is
an interesting one. Pawson has Thursday/Sat/Sun/Tues/Wed/Thurs.
3 games as a ref as he is Europe in the conference league on
       Thursday.

If we don't get Oliver for a top of table, London derby live on
TV, not sure we ever will to be honest, but very happy with
Jarred Gillett who was head and shoulders the best referee we
had last season on several occasions.

He is on VAR, which rubbishes the he can't referee fulham
because a family member supports them claims.

       kavanagh next weekend
England transferring to champio9nship but got prem game in week
hopefully all 3 of these refs will get a game next weekend
pleased for Thomas to get his first poem game hope it b goers
       well for him
good luck to Massey-ellis at u20 world cup as aavr hopefully she

AT hasn't done VAR because he's not been appointed to do so.
Nobody can "opt out" not that he would anyway

Rob Jones is another who hasn't had any VAR appointments this
season or last season. I do seem to recall he did a VAR
appointment in the FA Cup last season.
