Interesting to note that this round features a tie between AFC
Wimbledon and Sutton United - this would have been an Isthmian
League fixture not too many years ago.
It also features Ipswich Town .v. Portsmouth - this would have
been a Premier League / First Division fixture around the same
       time.
A sign of change and that the football pyramid actually does
       work.

...and also features Wolves v Man United...another sign of
change and why this competition is now being deserted by many
lower league teams supporters when it was hardly the best
       attended before those changes.

Given what’s been said about Mr Parsons sounds like the ideal
official to dish out TRFCs third red card in consecutive games…

In the Peterborough United v Chelsea U21 match Chris Pollard
was replaced at half time by Emily Heaslip, who did a very sound
job. The reason for the change was unclear as there had been no
obvious injury to Mr Pollard before half time.

Sam Barrott's star continues to rise and I am glad about that. I
too thought Lewis might get Referee or 4th on the Final based on
the "well done good and faithful servant " model of appointing
which has operated for this Final several times in the past.
Presuming the Final goes to a FL referee then, if he hasn't had
it before, Darren Drysdale might be a good shout or if it is to
go to 'up and coming' I wouldn't be in the least surprised to
       see Sam Allison's appointment.
