So an instruction to SG2 and FL refs this season is to get
stricter on dissent and timewasting, and be prepared to take
       sanctions earlier in the game.
But - to whistle less fouls by making tolerance to little
challenges / pushes higher so to give less free kicks to keep
       the game moving….
I’m all for this, so for first few weeks at least we should
expect to see dissent totally clamped down on.
But - what is the brief to Premier League refs ??

       An interesting article.
I didn’t see the Huddersfield v Burnley season curtain raiser
last night but, looking at the BBC site, it seems 2 of the 3
bookings were for dissent and time wasting so maybe James
Linington was setting out the directive from the start.
