pyramid patrol - female officials

I have been surprised that in all of JCFC's most entertaining
reports I don't recall ever seeing one that has involved a
female official (I may, of course, have missed one) - I assume
that in the lower leagues that are reported on it is not totally
unusual to have a female officiating so. as mentined earlier,
their absence in the reports is somewhat surprising -I wonder if
this is just co-incidence - I would be interested in JCFC or any
other comments on this

In terms of referees, the only one seen in the last couple of
seasons is Christina Hattersley, but in the past I have seen
Rebecca Welch, Helen Conley, Lindsey Robinson and of course the
wonderful Jane Simms. I am not sure how many female referees
operate in West Yorkshire at present - certainly none have
crossed my path this season.
There have been a slightly larger number of female assistants
seen, including this season. The mischievous Melissa Burgin is
one who stands out. Again, though, they are relatively thin on
the ground. (And usually on the waistline!)

riding (Emma Taylor)

I believe Lindsey Robinson went to New Zealand to be Referee
Development Officer over there as she was the RDO for
Northumberland FA and she was pretty good, I think she initially
went over as like a secondment type of thing but decided to
stay.

She most certainly did, and is doing a cracking job of it too if
the feedback from my Kiwi refereeing colleagues is anything to
go by.

Two seen - Rebecca Welch for the F.A. Inter-League Cup final
2021 (very good) and Sophie Dennington for the Ladies Muratti
(2022)
