I disagree with the fact about ticketless fans travelling to the
City is bad. There was no trouble whatsoever involving Liverpool
supporters at any of the 3 previous European cup finals they
went to. Also no issues at all in away European games. Yet they
come out saying Liverpool fans have a bad reputation.
Yes their probably where liverpool fans trying to get into the
ground without tickets but also there where Madrid fans and
locals trying to get in.

If we are talking about the same incident you can see him for a
start being in the Liverpool fan zone and secondly doing a Nazi
solute.

Not quite true remember in athens 2007, where yet again
thousands of liverpool fans turned up with no tickets, causing
similar scenes to what we saw last week.

There is no evidence of it happening last week though. Athens
there was.

My Uncle and Cousin were at the game and joined the queue 150
minutes before they were supposed to arrive, as were 2 of my
friends. They claim (with photgraphic proof) that local Parisien
gangs turned up (some with knives stuffed down their trousers) -
some in Liverpool tops over a PSG shirt - with counterfeit
tickets (just with a QR code). They then jumped the queue, and
tried to scan their fake ticket. This created a lot of issues as
1. they aren't genuine Liverpool fans (accent, clothing); 2.
they held up the queue; 3. they then tried to force their way in
causing further delays, and a response from the French policing.
When my cousin and Uncle got in 15 minutes after KO, they found
the 3 French lads in the stadium, sat in someone else's seat!
Yes, whilst Liverpool fans are no sinners, the whole thing was
down to poor stewarding and heavy handed policing, who had no
idea how to run an event. They then decided to start spraying
fans with tear gas, which is totally unacceptable. The Police
should have been moving these fans to one side and trying to
worm out the fake ticketers and gang members jumping the queue.
From experience though, this is typical behaviour from the
French Police, and the administrators of both the Stade de
France and the ticketing company need a full enquiry.

There was more trouble getting everyone into the stadium last
night for France vs Denmark with thousands of fans left outside
the stadium. The design of the stadium really is poor as is the
organisation of the French authorities. Many people reported
that the turnstiles where not working again.

A French inquiry into the security fiasco at the Uefa Champions
League final in Paris in May has found that it was caused by a
catalogue of administrative errors and failings.
The French government initially blamed Liverpool fans and fake
tickets for the crowd chaos that led to supporters being
tear-gassed and robbed.
But a Senate report has found authorities blamed them unfairly.
Dysfunctional mistakes were made at every level, it said.
Full details at above link.

What does the whole of this thread have to do with "rating
referees"?

This is a separate section of the board for non refereeing
things -hence the title club chat. We might all be referees or
retired referees but we we are also football fans in general.
It's kept separate for those who only want to talk refereeing.
