Must say that feels like the weakest set of European officials I
can remember for a major tournament - feeling the loss of big
hitters like Kuipers and Brych. Also disgraceful that Cakir
hasn't been selected and that Seibert has.
Very pleased to see Michael Oliver getting the nod though - I
was worried that he might miss out.
Also noticeable that there are three female referees and a
number of female ARs.

I don't care about the rest of the names on the list, the one
name I wanted to see there is there, so I am a very happy and
proud bmb right now. Congratulations István.

Pleased to see both English refs involved.
I guess some refs/ARs with do VAR/AVAR too?
Those who know the pairings better, which refs have no ARs or 1
AR? As 36 x 2 would be 72 not 69

Pleased both Taylor and Oliver are going. I thought it may be a
close call with Oliver but his recent UEFA appointments have
indicated he's in favour.
Interestingly no English VARs (Attwell or Kavanagh), but perhaps
not a complete surprise due to a few high profile blunders over
this European season and the generally questionable use of VAR
in this country to date..

Attwell was the only one on the pre-selection list so Kavanagh
would not have gone anyway

Kavanagh wasn’t on the training for the World Cup for VAR and
Attwell has had a number of questionable performances in UEFA
competitions. Kavanagh hasn’t had the best season performance
wise on VAR in the premier league either. [quote author=RCG

I doubt referees would do VAR as well, Danny Makkelie might as
he does have previous experience having done it in 2018

A few surprises there as far as UEFA is concerned. I wasn't
expecting both Taylor and Oliver to go but delighted they are
both there.
France also has 2 referees - Turpin and Frappart, but Spain only
Lahoz. No Dias from Portugal?
No English VAR as already mentioned

Glad to see Istan Kovacs and the female officials there as well.
Counting frappart I make that 11 referees from Europe? I thought
it was 10 they got

Don’t know anything about the plan from Africa or Japan other
than they have only recently done an Africa nations game and a
AFC champions league game. Frappart has no CL KO experience. So
again I feel this is a case of putting in female referees
because they are female rather than because they are excellent
qualified referees.
Agree re the uefa list. Not surprised Siebert has been chosen as
he went to euros even though I think there are better options.
Hopefully a non European ref for the final
