Quality really hasn't been there this season in SG2, but with 3
retiring referees, there will be some promotions .. Tim Robinson
would be a strong assumption for one

A lot of SG2 are “journeymen” and haven’t really propelled
themselves forward to SG1, either through ability (which is the
strongest factor), but also if they have work commitments which
cannot be freed to pursue a top level career.
I agree wholeheartedly that the quality isn’t very good,
       bordering on dross for some.
I never rated Robinson but my mind is being persuaded that my
rating is no longer applicable to him.
Josh Smith will be SG1 soon, and moving forward, Barrott from
the NL and probably Madley will return at some point to the top
       echelon.
If the likes of Ward and Simpson are top of the merit ratings,
       I’ll be staggered.

I think most of us can agree the SG 2 experiment has been a
disaster, and has done nothing to improve refereeing standards
or pathways for young future elite officials !
Too many of the group are past it (Woolmer, Stroud) or not good
       enough (Simpson, ward, Langford, Martin)

       minutes 😆

       Terrible as it turned out.
As paying customers, fans really shouldn't have to be needing to
complain about the performance of officials.
All we ask for is a level playing field, and last night, it was
       surely not.

Disappointed to see Tierney getting a huge match. I hope there
isn’t many KMIs for him otherwise it will not go well. I
would’ve got with Kavanagh personally for this match.

Apart from he got both decisions spot on and had an excellent
game. How about you blame Holding and Cedric for their crass
       stupidity?
