Pleased for Darren Bond. A good ref but out of action for a good
while this season (? injured?), I'm pleased that he's obviously
back to full fitness.

But surely would suggest that any premise of appointing on
position based on merit list goes out the window?
I agree Bond is a decent ref, was knocking on the upwards door
before his injury.
Good luck to all

Agree, seems very strange to me. Was out of action until January
effectively so only been active for last 4 months.

I think this depends on whether you need to have a certain
number of matches refereed to appear on the Merit List. Bond may
have had fewer matches than other referees due to injury but if
he has done exceptionally well since his return, his place on
the Merit List may be high.

Congratulations to all teams - it's a particularly good
appointment for Tom Brammall in his first season at SG2 level!
Final - Josh Smith? Tim Robinson? Leight Doughty? Can't think of
too many more options!
