Minor complaints about time wasting and not adding the time that
should have been on but the one big question I have is has the
process around medical incidents in the stands been changed mid
season as there was another one requiring cpr for about 15 20
minutes right at the start of the game and it continued.

Yes. The EFL sent out guidance to all clubs in March around off
field emergencies. It should now only be in very rare
occurrences that the game stops

To be honest I doubt if Bobby Madley would have noticed if Putin
had dropped paratroopers in the centre circle never mind any
incident in the crowd. He had a very poor night.
I appreciate the fact that he may have been trying to let the
game flow but there were times when he just seemed to forget he
had a whistle, particularly when it came to defenders wrapping
their arms around forwards and wrestling them to the ground . He
seemed content to just give a Mike Deanesque shrug and carry on
which led to a massive amount of frustration both on and off the
field.
He also had that annoying habit of holding his arm aloft and
tapping his watch to signal he was taking note of the time
wasting. Unfortunately he must have inadvertently worn the one
without a battery.
All in all it was a disappointing performance from an
experienced referee which certainly affected both teams.
