J BROOKS - Luton v Blackpool

I thought Brooks was very poor this afternoon with some
decisions which has affected the game.
A clear penalty for Luton not given and I’m not sure what Hopton
has seen to tell Brooks to blow up for a foul on Keogh just
before Luton scored late on.
I wasn’t convinced by the spot kick given to Blackpool either.
Kettle was the best of the four officials with a flawless
display holding the numbers board, combined with the barrage of
abuse from the Luton bench all afternoon.

I totally agree with your comments. A very poor performance by
Mr Brooks and his Assistant. Not always the best idea to have
SG1 in the championship where there is no VAR to bail them out
from some poor decisions.

I don't really understand it. Due to Luton's position, they're
getting more and more SG1s. Brooks is usually pretty reliable,
but we've had him and Scott now in recent weeks. Both have put
in fairly inadequate performances. VAR protection? Or lack of
games in the Prem?

Your last comment is the most likely - these referees are
lacking game time and this affects confidence/decision making
