Be nice to have someone like Orsarto/Turpin or Makkelie or even
Marciniak on this game
I think the issue this highlights the issues with football and
VAR in general the inconsistencies across the leagues

Be nice to have someone like Orsarto/Turpin or Makkelie or even
Marciniak on this game
I think the issue this highlights the issues with football and
VAR in general the inconsistencies across the leagues

If you are going to invite officials from outside england to
officiate in the premier league, then i feel they should be
invited for the full season not just one game.
English referees officiate differently in the premier league to
those in europe, be it under the guidance of their bosses from
pgmol.

organisation. Then the appointments spread across all the top
leagues
Imagine Orsato refereeing Burnley vs Norwich and Micheal Oliver
Levante against Getafe

A nice idea in principle but until the players are required to
travel thousands of miles every week to get to their league
games I don't see why referees should.

I am sure that someone will latch on to this idea and use it to
try to add weight to the formation of a European Super League
which would then need to have officials from various countries.
Heaven forbid!

Don't agree, the officials would spend even more time on the
road and living out of hotels than they do now. Let's say an
English referee did a Saturday game in Madrid and a Tuesday
night game in Milan. He'd be flying out on Friday, back home on
Sunday, one night there before flying to Milan on Monday, or at
best Tuesday morning, flying home Wednesday. You can't expect
referees to be at peak performance when they spend half of their
week in airports and at hotels.
Plus it wouldn't do much to add to ESG targets and goals.

I find Tierney getting the same number of these 'big' matches as
Dean and Marriner combined astonishing. Is Tierney that good ?
Clearly the appointing powers seem to think he is. A view not
so far shared by those in charge of the European stage it would
seem
