E LAMBRECHTS - England v Cote D’Ivoire

Well that’s killed the game off. Aurier getting binned for two
yellows in the first half.
Must’ve been serious for a second yellow for offinabus. Mind
you, Grealish wasn’t too happy in the red card being issued.
A few other tasty challenges, Seri booked as well.

Terrible decision to send Aurier off, one of the worst I have
ever seen
First yellow if not a yellow
2nd one is not even a foul and it anything it’s a foul on Aurier
He seems nervous, blowing his whistle many times even for just a
simple freekick
After all it’s just a friendly!

The first yellow was nailed on, he had a full hand of Grealish's
shorts, even in a friendly it is difficult to manage something
that obvious. For the second we have no idea what he said or
did, but it was 100% for dissent and not any kind of foul.

Haven’t watched the game but in general Lambrechts is a referee
hugely overrated by UEFA in my opinion. Belgium does have very
good referees besides their CL official Visser - such as Nathan
Verboomen and Bram Van Driessche, and even tonight’s fourth
official Alexandre Boucaut - but instead they (bizarrely to me)
insist on Lambrechts.
But to reiterate, can’t comment on his performance tonight, and
hope he had a good game. :)

I didn't see the game; I was watching some proper competitive
football elsewhere. However I am a bit lost here. OFINABUS is
a red card offence.

He also missed a stonewall yellow card for Shaw, very similar to
the aurier first yellow. A poor game all around. He seemed to
like blowing his whistle too much

I agree with you, a definite yellow card missed for Shaw for a
cynical block. The 2nd yellow to Aurier must have been for
dissent as there was nothing in the coming-together of the two
players to justify a yellow for either player.

I seriously hope the 2nd caution wasn't for a perceived dive by
Aurier. If so then The Referee may be advised to review the
video
