Looking for help with the following - see attachment.
Ref: Sergio Gonella
Linesmen are listed in the match programme as A. L. Hart and K.
V. Lambert.
I believe K. V. Lambert is Kenneth 'Ken' Lambert but does anyone
have any information on their forename(s) for A. L. Hart?

Arthur Hart of London SE16, later Borough Green, was (I believe)
a 'stevedore' by trade, surely the only ref on the list in that
profession. Sergio Gonella refereed the 1978 World Cup Final,
very badly it has to be said. I'm a bit surprised to see two
English linesmen on a competitive European game involving
Southampton.

1971-72 was the first season of the UEFA Cup having previously
been the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup, when it wasn't unusual to have
local officials acting as linesmen for early rounds. It appears
to have carried over into 1971-72 when all four of the English
clubs (Leeds, Southampton, Tottenham and Wolves) had English
linesmen for their home first round matches. On all subsequent
rounds the linesmen were from the same country as the referee.
