Presumably not with Tranmere in the L2 play off Final! [emoji3]
Seriously, I shall be sad to see Mike go, but quite understand
that he would wish to go out at a time of his own choosing and
whilst still at the top table. I first saw Mike at my first ever
game at Gresty Road, Crewe v Palace in 2000 and he had a good
game, although it included a red card for 'Razor' Ruddick for
FAL. I wish Mike all the best for the future.

He's been a good servant to the professional game for 20 years
and to the game in general for many more. I hope he enjoys his
retirement. More time for him to watch Tranmere. [emoji1]

Going to be a challenge for the premier league as to who does
the 19/20 games Dean would have done

He can retire proud of everything he has achieved. Would hope he
will be involved in coaching/mentoring/observing in his local
area at least, if not nationally, he has a lot of knowledge &
experience to pass on. Whatever he does though I wish him well.

Is thins confirmed? Various outlets are reporting that he is
considering retiring and is in discussions about a VAR role, but
that is a bit different to he is definitely retiring.

They've got more than enough referees struggling games who would
love to get those 19-20 games.

Especially his penalty decisions which inspired officials all
       over the world.

I’d like to see him taken on by PGMOL to develop referees but I
suspect his maverick persona wouldn’t be welcomed by Mr. Riley.
