Oliver Langford Sheffield United vs Leeds United

I said before the game that I hoped the good Langford turned up
and it was anything but that from minute one you could tell that
he was going to be poor. Sheff Utd should have been down to nine
men before the break their number 17 committed an act of serious
foul play and he didn’t even give a free kick another thing is
the amount of holding and grappling that he didn’t give or see.
He was so inconsistent giving our number 7 a caution for a
careless challenge were letting reckless challenges go. In my
opinion he is nowhere near sg1 and more near L1 and L2 standard.

Agree, two nailed on reds missed inconsistent use of cards, poor
performance not SG2 standard and that is saying a lot.

Why should leagues 1 & 2 be allocated poor referees. If they are
not good enough they should be out and give someone else a
chance. Some of the newer referees have been good lately.

The best referees should do Premier League, the next best the
Championship and the next tranche Leagues One and Two with a
certain amount of interchangeability when the situation
warrants/permits it.
None of these should be poor referees, they should just be not
quite so good as the better ones.

I thought he had a particularly poor game. Some awful decisions.
He just didn’t seem interested in the game at all
