Stuart Attwell, Palace v Everton

I wondered whether Stuart Attwell was going to regret leaving
his cards in his pocket for so long, but he ended up right to do
so, and whilst the 2nd half yellow cards were perfectly correct,
I was pleased that he allowed the game to flow and develop into
a quite entertaining if ultimately one-sided contest. And I'm
pleased as punch that my beloved Palace are heading back to
Wembley! Let's hope we can win the FA Cup this time! [emoji1]

I would say today Attwell did well and glad to see him keep
players under control with his hands off the pocket for a long
period of time, but IMO two mandatory YCs should be shown to
Mitchell (a challenge on Townsend) and Gomez (a high foot on
Gallagher) in the first half - both quite reckless challenges
even endangered the safety of each opponent.

Still failing to understanding the ruling on handball. The
handball by Gallagher in the area allowed him to have a shot at
goal which resulted in a goal. Just watched Mike Dean give free
kicks for accidental handballs in the centre of the field.
What's the difference. Atwell did not give one against Saha in
the lead up to the 2nd goal. Come on referees shape up and get
your consistency working. The standards this season with or
without VAR are poor.
