What the dickens is this new phenomenon where members of the
crowd are now cable tying themselves to the goalposts?
A ridiculous delay and this seems to be happening a lot
       recently.

Things getting really tetchy now… VAR coming in for a red card
challenge by Allan on Saint Maximin.
Pawson sent to the monitor to check by Attwell.
Does it tick all the boxes for SFP?

It was low , a couple of seasons ago that would be a YC and
“taking one for the team” but rules have changed. I would say
       it’s probably supportable

Attwell with more controversy… seems to follow him everywhere he
       goes right now.
Had a lot going for it in favour of a red. Was at pace, both
feet off the ground, studs up, out of control. Was it a clear
and obvious error from Pawson to give yellow? I can understand
       why some might say no.
As an aside, a Disgraceful reaction from Allan as he left the
pitch and I hope he will get an extra ban.

I also think the FA will be firing a failure to control players
charge to Everton after this match too….

Arturo Brizio Carter would have sent him off without a second
thought (and rightly so too!). A clear example of excessive
force. However, I think the intervention was wrong to be honest
       - an example of a ‘match control SFP’ call, should be taken by
the referee live on the FoP and then respected by the VMOs
       whichever they decided.

It’s one of those I think should be a red but it happens so
often and is normally only a yellow

I don't see a red card there. The force isn't as high as it
looks (the contact is glancing), and much of Allan's movement is
semi in the same direction of the Newcastle player. The point
of contact is studs on the bottom of the boot. It lacks
brutality, and I don't see genuine endangerment.
I almost agree with the sentiment that tackles like that
'should' be a red, but if we're applying the criteria then for
       me it isn't supportable.
Irrespective of our opinions (many will see a red here), I
suspect we'll generally agree that it isn't clear and obvious,
as per the criteria. I'm not supportive of VAR being involved
       here.
I wonder if this is the inevitable 'rebound' from some poor SFP
calls in recent weeks when too much compensation is made
following a few mistakes in the PL.

It’s incredible that Attwell thinks that a red but left an
assault on Luis Dias go totally unpunished last weekend….
