Breakspear IMHO must be in the top 3 on the FL, very good
decision maker. Clubs know what he will or will not caution for
       and need to act/react accordingly

As I’ve said before I think Charles Breakspear has the
unfulfilled potential to be an sg1 referee however his limelight
hugging card count turns a very good official into a poor one
imo , the match is NOT all about him however his unnecessary
over officious manner often makes it all about him . I’m
dreading the match because of him and I shouldn’t even be
       thinking about him!

He's been at Rochdale twice this season and despite a dreadful
decision to NOT award a corner last Saturday, there's been
nothing else wrong with his officiating. I know he has a
reputation, but in all the games I've seen him, he's been
       anything but.

And another sighting of Breakspear and his red card.

Dogso so probably couldn’t be avoided , at least the game as a
contest was over at that point .

Another? It's only his fourth of the season.

Sam Purkiss was OK at Gresty Road, Crewe v Bolton yesterday. Had
quite a bit to deal with in the 1st half as things became
fractious in front of a partisan NW derby crowd, and yellow
cards were probably appropriate after an incident which led to a
Bolton forward ending up over the barrier behind the goal line
after being barged by a Crewe defender. 2nd half was quite
exciting as Bolton chased a goal, and Sam actually had less
involvement which he did quietly and unobtrusively. I wouldn't
mind seeing Sam again, but it definitely won't be in L1 anytime
       soon! [emoji23]
Edit - black mark to AR Chris Isherwood who gave Bolton a corner
in the 1st half when it was definitely a throw-in. Not even
close and I wonder what CI was seeing, because it was definitely
not what the rest of us saw. Fortunately, nothing came of it.
