       Glasgow R.A. expressed their sadness at the passing of Gerry
       Evans of Bishopbriggs earlier this month (November 2021) after a
       short illness.
       Gerry famously sent off four Hearts players in 21 minutes in
       their match against Rangers at Ibrox early in the 1996-97
       season.
       He served as a Class 1 Referee for 12 years, retiring after the
       1996-97 after failing to recover from a hamstring injury.
       He became a Referee Supervisor / Observer, firstly for the East
       Glasgow area, then the West, for a total of 21 years.
