Like I’ve said multiple times previously, donohue is a poor
referee promoted way too quickly beyond his quality.
Where are his defenders this time?

I'm sure he has more days like that than those like he did
today, you don't get to where he is by not doing so, imo.
Hopefully next time out I'll get to see what he is really

I take the point but I am not sure this is oxymoronic as I
always thought the two parts of an oxymoron, whilst being
apparently contradictory, should be true. In this case Gavin
Ward is most certainly Gavin Ward but capable ......?? Perhaps
I am being unfair on Ward but I think antiphrasis rather than
oxymoron might be the word to be employed here.

Smudge charged with violent conduct & 3 match ban expected. No
idea what he did, we only saw him sitting on the bench and then
being escorted off by a steward.

Nothing announced on Parker yet. He's in lala land - doesn't
know why he's been sent off! I'd assume it had a lot to do with
running up the touchline screaming Scotty! *rolls eyes* He
could also do with a copy of the LOTG & having a read of it.

Gavin was Gavin. A few random, strange & baffling decisions -
both ways. Nothing really major wrong and fairly consistent with
some decisions. Nowhere near the worst performance I've seen.

1 match touchline ban & a whopping £2000 fine!

AFC Bournemouth’s Scott Parker has been suspended from the
touchline for one match and fined £2,000 following a breach of
FA Rule E3.
The manager admitted that his language during the 90th minute of
their EFL Championship game against Preston North End on
Saturday 5 March 2022 was abusive, insulting, and improper, and
he also accepted the standard penalty.
As a result, Parker will be absent from the touchline for
tomorrow's game against Reading.

I did have a chuckle at some of our fans responses who were
asking how they can appeal to have the ban increased!

This is less of a fine, more a facility fee to allow a manager
to hurl abuse at a match official.
Perhaps we should publish a tariff? something like: £2,000 for
the F-word; £10,000 for the C-word (both possibilities); £11,000
for a job lot using both, etc.
Seriously, this is going to deter no-one and will contribute to
more referees on the parks quitting every week.
Shameful.
