P TIERNEY - Everton v Man City

What planet is VAR on at “Shockley Park” about the Rodri
handball.
Absolutely ludicrous decision not to refer it to the monitor.
Looked pretty clear cut to me.

It’s pretty clear that neither Tierney or Kavanagh know the laws
of the game…. Disaster of a decision….

Tierney had a poor afternoon. Little to no control of the game
whatsoever, allowing players to basically take the mick
throughout, dubious yellow cards given due to lack of control.
The handball decision is absolutely shocking. The amount of
ridiculous handballs given since VAR first came in, including a
penalty given for City against Wolves earlier in the season when
it hit a player in the chest, and when it is as obvious as that
and isn't given, it doesnt make defending referees any easier.
Needs a few games out of the spotlight due to recurring poor
performances, including the VAR Kavanagh as well. These are two
FIFA referees for god sake!

A classic case of officials being on planet referee not planet
common sense.
I can understand what Kavanagh was obviously thinking - we can't
be 100% sure that the ball struck the defender's arm (below the
't-shirt'-ish line), so determining that it wasn't a clear and
obvious error, and clear the situation.
But that's so far away from reality on two levels:
1) it almost definitely did hit Rodri quite far down his arm;
football definitely expects a penalty there, I'm sure
2) Tierney completely (understandably!) missed the incident; if
there is such a nip-and-tuck level of doubt as here, especially
on such a big call, use the serious missed incident clause and
call Tierney to view the situation (for the first time!! he
missed it on the FoP) at the RRA
Unfortunately, that's a big mistake, Mr Kavanagh... by being
more critically thinking, he could have avoided the whole SG1
squad a big controversy there! One can hear the (absurd;
Hanlon's razor ;)) conspiracy theorists already on social
media...

First Spurs v Liverpool, now Everton v Man City, perhaps they
can't handle the big games, also, without implying anything, it
could be these two officials and their decisions have almost
single handedly decided the title race.

I wonder whether it was offside in the build up to the pass
through to Richarlison?

Again officials bringing our game into disrepute. Clear penalty.
Tierney was also poor at Elland Road recently. It was probably
offside.

Wasn't offside, the big screen at Everton said decision no
handball, the pL have said the VAR didn't think it was handball.
Also, they started play from the offside location for the
offside after the penalty

Think Tierney was VAR ref last week for Soton v Everton and
refused a clear Everton pen then. Mr Tierney is from Wigan same
as myself. Think I would be obliged to question his capabilities
if I bumped into him in Tesco.
