Taylor with the big game, astonishingly Tierney is trusted with
another high profile game.

It is really baffling, he really is not a good referee in my
opinion

Chris Kavanagh has been VAR about 20/21 times so far this
season. I believe he has a suite named after him at Stockley
Park given the amount of time he seems to spend there! Stuart
Attwell seems to be another regular there.
And Taylor has had very few if any VAR appointments
I have noticed that
Perhaps it’s due to the fact that they will be used at the World
Cup in these roles?
But them Micheal Oliver has plenty of VAR appointments
Perhaps Taylor doesn’t like Stockley Park? He is the best
referee though
Attwell is considered the best VAR though by UEFA and he is
pretty awful at refereeing so perhaps that is why?
Wasn’t Kavanagh injured at the start of the season? Perhaps
still managing his minuets almost?

He had 7 matches as VAR in the first 5 rounds and refereed his
first game at the end of September in round 6. He's had around a
dozen VAR appointments with Taylor & Oliver in Europe (not
counting the 6-8 he had in the Euros in the summer as VAR &
AVAR) so perhaps that is more of the reason why he has so many
domestically.

UEFA clearly disagree given he is one of their top referees and
seemingly ahead of Michael Oliver in their pecking order.
You don't get to be a Premier League referee if you are "not a
good referee", and you certainly don't get to FIFA elite level.
EDIT: I though this was reference to Taylor not Tierney.
Although the point still stands about Premier League referees
....
