Once again Craig Pawson in middle for Chelsea v Fulham and then
4O in the very next fixture.
Surely they appoints peeps can realise this could be
problematical

I shall be at Selhurst Park on Saturday to see Lee Probert in
action. Graham ex-Ref - are you travelling to this game? A
6-pointer in view of recent results. Not sure about Kevin Friend
for the derby match between Brighton and Palace. However it
makes a change after Andre Marriner refereeing the last three
encounters. Hopefully Kevin will stay fit for the full 90
minutes with Simon Hooper as 4O. Good to see Graham Scott back
in PL action.

Taylor’s 100% appearance record comes to an end this weekend,
having refereed in each of the opening 13 matchweeks. After
these matches, Paul Tierney will be on the current longest
streak of 5 consecutive matches, followed by Kevin Friend on 4.
Strange use of Atkinson, 4th official on Friday and then nothing
else.
Really surprised by Chris Kavanagh getting the Merseyside Derby
in just his 26th PL match!

Great appointment for Kavanagh. I would of expected to see maybe
Oliver or Taylor on that fixture.

Interesting stat about Taylor in yesterday's Times:
" Anthony Taylor will be getting ready to use his red card soon.
In the past five seasons, in all competitions, he has shown one
red card in 74 matches between August and November and 25 in 107
games over the remainder".
Perhaps the chaps in Ivory Towers want a quiet weekend, 1st and
2nd December, before the red card starts to appear again at
Wembley on Wednesday 5th.

pair of eyes...and how sensible to have vast experience and one
of the heavy brigade as 4th Official.

Kavanagh's biggest test in the PL so far - I really hope he
comes through unscathed as he has enormous potential. Then he
goes on to be 4th official at United v Arsenal which will be
good for him.

I actually had Chris Kavanagh down as my Manchester Derby ref
given the neutrality and locality. This appointment doesn't
surprise me in the slightest. He's having an excellent season
and the 4O appointment after the Merseyside derby shows just how
high of a regard the powers that be obviously hold him in.
Good luck to him. It's nice to see some of the new blood being
rewarded for their excellent performances.
