Whistleblower, Chris Beath also refereed the Olympic Final this
year and was ranked by the IFFHS as Asia's best male referee.
Not a bad last 12 months for him.

You'd think the Australian footballing public would hold him in
a slightly higher esteem, but alas much like Ben Williams,
Beathy is loved by the powers that be in AFC and FIFA but widely
panned by the football public at home

I think that's the same for all refs - all the other refs are
better than their own according to their native footballing
community!

C'mon ACTRef, Beath has done the last two A-League Grand Finals,
hardly being panned or ignored at home by FA.

Only saw from 60 mins onwards but thought he was very good.
Looked the part - calm, in control and didn’t overreact. Good
fitness and was firm when people tried to influence him. A good
prospect going forward as a ‘neutral’ confederation for the big
Europe v South America matches at tournaments which often end up
going to Mexican referees.
