Darren Bond

Happy new year all. It struck me recently, now being halfway
into the EFL league season, I hadn't noticed Darren Bond
anywhere this campaign. In fact, a quick check on Soccerway
website shows his last game was a pre-season friendly. Does
anyone know what has happened to Bond? He was always one of my
favourite SG2 referees so it's a shame to see his absence.
Thanks

He took charge of a Carabao Cup match at Sheffield Wednesday
before the season started and hasn't been seen at EFL level
since. The postponements over Christmas have delayed his return
but he is due to take charge of Doncaster Rovers v Fleetwood
Town this weekend.

A bad injury. I think it was his Achilles.

I asked the same question on the appointments board about Antony
Coggins, whom we haven't seen since 9th October.
