Unfortunately it looks like another fan has collapsed, well done
to the Rob Jones for stopping the game on time, and to the
medics for their responsiveness, hopefully the individual
recovers, this is happening way too often this season.

Only seen it once, but would be interested in thoughts on the
Loris challenge on Joao Pedro. No penalty decision by Mr Jones
backed by VAR Mr Mason.

I'd be more concerned about the non-penalties on Dier and Kane.
Blatant holding offences not penalised, commentary team seemed
bewildered by VAR's lack of involvement. Lloris seemed to win
the ball on the replay's I've seen.

I actually think a very good performance by Robert Jones. He
showed great foul detection and he’s in control of the match.
The moment that Joao Pedro wanted an advantage to play but he
chose to give a freekick and book Skipp displayed his great
insight - at the moment freekick is a better advantage. I
believe he’s in his best form so far in PL and he deserves more
chances(some matches involving big teams).

Having a free kick with every Tottenham player set up behind the
ball is a better advantage than a 1-1 in the box against a
Tottenham defender? Have you every played the game?

It’s actually 1-2 in the box with no clear goal scoring
opportunity plus pulling the shirt twice in a row showed that
Skipp was not able to control his temper for being dribbled
continuously, so imo a caution is mandatory. This is a free kick
very close to the box and I think players from Watford accepted
it quickly.

It was not 1 v 2. There was another Tottenham player a few yards
away but Pedro was running 1v1. He had just taken it past 3/4
players so why not wait? What has the referee got to lose? He
could still have pulled it back for the foul. Pedro could have
shot and scored, or taken it past the Tottenham player, or won a
penalty all which were an advantage to the free kick being
given.
Watford did not accept the decision. This is not true. Pedro and
a couple of other players nearby immediately questioned the
referee for stopping play. Ranieri was also furious on the
side-line, as were the crowd as it was obvious to allow play to
continue.
I actually think the referee did excellently, and this was his
only mistake. But for you to suggest he displayed "his great
insight" but stopping a free flowing move on the edge of the box
to bring it back for a free kick is quite frankly a baffling and
bewildering point of view.

I watched this game on a stream and I’ve got to say I thought
that Jones was excellent and I agree with some other posters
saying that he’s actually in a really good vein of form now in
the EPL.
His only ‘mistake’ was to blow up rather than playing the
advantage through for Pedro in the second half. He delayed and
tried to play for a few seconds whilst he was being held then
I’m assuming he thought that he’d been crowded out and blew up.
This is a situation every single referee has done and you could
see that he instantly knew he had blew too early. In fact I’m
almost certain I seen him apologise to Sissoko the captain and
that defused the situation.
All KMD’s appeared correct, and a great decision on the Lloris
challenge as one angle clearly shows he touches the ball before
the collision.
And as stated earlier, very quick to spot the medical emergency
and forcibly wave the medical staff across the pitch.
