Another dubious Red card?

I wasn't there, however from those that were and the TV
highlights of the incident, it was a last man foul tackle about
10 yards outside the penalty area in front of goal.
He did consult with his assistant prior to issuing the card.

Not long enough. A couple of weeks short of 2 years !
Mind you, given Southend's current form (4 consecutive league
losses) anything that turns the match into a lottery might be
good.
His 26th Southend match, with only 4 defeats (all relatively
recent).

Looked harsh to me. Foul could even have gone the other way or
not at all. Defenders aplenty around the incident (at one point
there were 6 defenders and the keeper in the picture with just
the one Cobblers player). Spoke with Ravel Cheosiaua, as you
say, before flourishing card.

While Rovers ended up getting hammered 5-2 at Grimsby, a pivotal
error from Mr Drysdale and team at 1-1, when Grimsby's second
was a blatant handball, not picked up by any of the officials.
Mr Drysdale seemed to be reasonably positioned to judge, but one
of his ARs (and I don't know my Bentons from Liddles) seemed
well placed to advise Mr Drysdale of the infringement but
didn't. They should be suitably embarassed when reviewing the
match DVD.

I see Kettle had his red out in 38 minutes... oh and another win
for Southend with Kettle as the man in charge ....perhaps you
should have him every week!!!!

No, we had Andy Davies instead, I've just got back. He had a
decent game. Can't think of anything contentious.

Well I think everyone was happy with him apart from the 60-odd
Scunthorpe supporters who might, rightly, have thought that any
benefit of the doubt available favoured the home team.
The red card was the result of two yellows, one nailed on, one
not so.
Kettle on Tuesday was better than David Webb on Wednesday, the
latter being a fully paid up member of the "stealing a living"
brigade.

Sounds like one of the best games that Kettle has had in his
umpteenth season in the FL causing mayhem on a few occasions!!
