One of the most obvious penalties I have ever seen.
Absolutely staggered that both of them have missed it.

Pawson must have started the christmas drink a bit early.
How on earth did he not see that as a clear and obvious error on
VAR, has someone checked he is awake?

Not a good weekend for refs and VAR and there wasnt even many
games.

Referees are making a mockery of VAR. That decision was one of
the worst I’ve seen and that it wasn’t overturned by the VAR
official makes you wonder what on earth is going on.

It’s not looking very clever this weekend. There have been a few
in recent weeks where I can accept differing points of view or
where the decisions are marginal (e.g. City penalty v Wolves).
Some of the more recent seem to be plainly incorrect.
I can’t imagine these would have occurred in UEFA competition.
Obviously the standard is as high as it gets at UEFA level so
that will always help, but there must be a process problem with
VAR in England right now?
Last year was too slow and too ‘persnickety’. This year seems
too quick and non-interventionist. Clearly requires further
refinement.

Not a long wait for an equally scandalous one when Jota was
bundled over at Spurs. That was after Kane should have been sent
off but neither was reviewed by the on-field referee. Abysmal.

Atkinson looking right at it, doesn't blow. Pawson gets to
watch on TV, doesn't buzz. Unbelievable. It's even worse than
the Kane call which is quite remarkable.
