Isn't this a good example of what people have wanted for some
time, with opportunities given to different officials? I'd think
Jones and Hooper have broadly similar numbers of PL appointments
this season and if Hooper wasn't available then Jones seems a
perfectly reasonable appointment, and it might have been done
partly on availability anyway.
Is VAR not being used? It seems a bit odd given all 4 QF games
are at PL grounds.

VAR Isn't used until the semi finals.

BBC and Sky have got Andre Marriner as refereeing Brentford v
Chelsea. Does anybody know if that is correct or is it Peter

I can’t see anything wrong in GingerReferee asking this? If he
has tested positive then why shouldn’t folk know? If a player or
ref is injured we find out so why not in such cases too?
