It seems a reasonable spread, with no one refereeing three PL
games. It would be good to see some more variety in terms of the
bigger head to head games.
Does anyone have any stats for VAR appointments this season? My
gut instinct is Taylor, Jones and Scott haven't been used that
much in that role but would be interesting to know.

With the sheer number of appointments here, I think it was
inevitable there would be a couple of quick returns to clubs for
a few referees. However, I think this is a very fair set of
appointments, and now they're slowly starting to use the new
guys more, the general appointing is getting better now. It
could still be improved (the same guys getting the biggest
games), but it is definitely getting better now.

Taylor and Jones have done 0 VAR appointments this season so
far. Scott has but like you say nowhere near as many as
everyone else. Of the newbies Brooks has recently started doing
VaR apps but Harrington and Salisbury have not
