That appears to be down to damage to the stadium (roof and
guttering) more than anything else. Perhaps there will be some
closer to kick off or some abandonments ?

Perhaps - although I really hope not. Early decisions with
weather like this are essential IMO to prevent large swathes of
unnecessary travel!

He had an excellent game, I thought. Can't recall anything that
annoyed people, except those who don't know the LotG.

Two more red cards for Simon Mather this week, taking him to
seven for the season now.

Simon Mather did well to keep it at only 1 red card on Tuesday
in the Port Vale v Walsall game
The red was for two yellows, first for a player needlessly
getting involved in a minor fracas and the second a stonewall
yellow for a late tackle.
Not helped by the increased animosity between the two clubs and
their supporters (The Walsall manager quit to manage Vale
earlier this year for those who aren’t aware) he handled a
tetchy, local-ish derby game very well, and always maintained
control even when it threatened to boil over a few times.
