It is being reported that Exeter City used too many substitutes
(six) in their FA Cup match against Bradford City last night.
The match officials were:
Referee: Allison, Sam
Assistant Referee: Morris, Kevin
Assistant Referee: Hendley, Andrew
Fourth Official: Whaley, Marc

That really isn't good for the fourth official, if he has messed
up he will be looking at a three week break.
Would be harsh to penalise the other officials as at that level
substitutions are pretty much left to the 4th official.

I would imagine that, if this is proven, a replay will be
required. Regardless of the comprehensive final score, the
final substitution was made when the scores were level. I can't
see Exeter being thrown out, although you never know.

Considering the three Exeter goals were scored after the sixth
substitution… I think the FA will take a very dim view on all
concerned.
The fourth official will be firmly in the firing line for that
poor piece of accountancy.

May I ask whether the red card to Bradford's Angol is rescinded
for the replay? Just interested.

I believe any disciplinary decisions still stand but I'm sure I
will be corrected if not!
