Royalty at AFCB again…. Surely it’s Friend this time!?
Whitestone again for us… he cannot be as woeful this time around
as he was when he was at Huddersfield and made a complete dogs
       dinner of the match.
At least Haines can’t be with Rochdale this week…. 😜

How is Mr Madley meant to be 4th Official and reffing in the FA
       Cup?

With some considerable difficulty I imagine! Surely the FA &
EFL's computers, before Mr Madley, would spot the
double-booking. Usual problem with computers though - rubbish
       in, rubbish out.

It looks like he and Rebecca Welch have swapped televised
matches to allow him to be 4th official at Luton. He'll be nice
and handy for St. Albans too.

A key game at the bottom of the Championship for Stephen Martin,
       Barnsley v Hull.

Last time Harrington was at AFCB there was the infamous mass
brawl…. Hopefully everyone will be well behaved or bmb can tell
       them all off!

I thought FA appointments supersede any other appointments in a
       competition in a clash scenario?

bmb will refrain from commenting on why there was a mass brawl
       in the first place...
I'm sure Mr Harrington will be relived to know it'll be Debrecen
VSC v Budapest Honvéd or Felcsút v Újpest for me - or both
thanks to TV viewing and different kick off times!

A poor decision in my view by Joshua Smith and his AR (? Akil
Howson) to disallow a Blackpool goal (v QPR) when the ball was
already clearly over the line for a goal before a Blackpool
player in an offside position stuck out a foot to make sure of
the goal. Reminded me of the incident in the game at Hungerford
(separate thread) when a player was initially red carded for
handling the ball after a goal had been scored. In this case,
there was no comeback. Smith was also wrong in my view to turn
down a Blackpool penalty for what can best be described as an
'agricultural challenge'. Not one of Josh's better days from the
       Quest highlights in my view.
