Superb decision not to give handball against Reece James....
This is the best I’ve seen of Lahoz in any match....
I think everyone on here has tv on and I pad next to them on the
       sofa commenting on this site
       😂😂😂😂

Don't want to jinx him but IMO he's been excellent tonight

Many here seem to think there are two types of Mateu Lahoz
performances, superb and disastrous. If that is the case I know
       which one we saw tonight.
Along with Jarred Gillett's outing in the championship playoff
semi final, this was one of the performances of the season for
       me.
One could certainly argue for one or two YCs more but I feel he
       got all the important ones.
Really like his unorthodox style of managing players and his
very strong body language, nobody is left in any doubt what his
message is. A particular highlight was his dealing with the
handball penalty appeal. Very brave to indicate his call so
clearly and without any doubt considering, for all he knew, VAR
could tell him to go to the screen at any moment - a referee in
       charge and in full flow.
Commiserations to Man City and well done to Chelsea and indeed
Mateu Lahoz and his team (ARs, FO and VAR all did their job
excellently too). If he carries this form to EURO who knows how
       far he can go.

This puts Lahoz in line for a EURO SF if you ask me
That's the best final performance I've seen for at least over a
       decade
       Two tiny mistakes all game
Spain are blessed to have him when on form
Also the AR and VAR with an excellent job as well, don't forget
       them

What an absolute masterclass from the Spanish official.. he was
brilliant and his decision making spot... outstanding

Excellent performance by Lahoz and team. Clearly builds a
really good relationship with players, and for all he is a
little bit unconventional it works for him.

On another note, Azpilicueta is already slightly p*ssed

Verrry minor points - would have liked to see a caution for
mobbing at the big penalty appeal, reckless stamp by Fernandinho
(66') who then committed two further fouls (83', +92').
What an EXCELLENT rendition of how to serve football as a
referee whilst being a charismatic leader at the same time.
Mateu absolutely bossed that game. Respect!!

Those medals are very well deserved. I've always said that when
on form, him ,Brych, Oliver and Kuipers are Europe's best

Best performance in the champions league I’ve seen for a long
time. Could have booked a couple more (Fernandinho) but didn’t
       need it.
       Absolutely superb
Well done to Chelsea who outplayed City- a great game well
       refereed!
