Really good half by all three teams!
Lahoz has done well in my opinion. Avoided too many soft
freekicks early on and its paid off as the game has become more
free flowing as its gone on. Particularly good call to award a
handball against Sterling when he went down after no contact.
Sterling by the way pushing his luck a little with regards to
dissent.
He also chose the perfect moment to issue a yellow card, a few
chances earlier but he found a 100% nailed on one and for a
player who had fouled a number of times. Also played a few good
advantages.
Assistants busy with lots of offsides, I didn't spot any
mistakes.
Very enjoyable game too! Fantastic block by Rudiger a highlight
for me.

Agree - would only add a potential caution to Gündoğan for
his holding foul at 11'/12', so glad that Mateu 'got' him later.
His general gestures, mimics and presence are absolutely
excellent IMO.

Ngl he looked like he was sh*tt*ng himself walking out at start,
thought we were in for a disaster
However, he proved me wrong
I'd agree with that Gundogan should've been booked in 12 min for
foul but other than that he's been perfect

He’s been superb so far. He’s got a very unorthodox style which
is very unspanish like. Hope he keeps it up

Really liked his management there. Bent down to talk to Rudiger,
then pulled him up and showed the yellow. A bit quirky but he
shows the players respect and I'm sure that is appreciated.

Excellent no penalty call with extremely strong body language to
the dissenting players. Chest first then the arm exactly as he
indicated, stood up very well to the strong protests. Could have
and maybe should have issued a YC but I really appreciate his
strong management here. Top class IMO.
