I don't know what Mike Dean was thinking
Firstly he should've been away from the area of play.
Secondly thats not a free
I saw a couple of comments this morning criticising PGMOL for
not giving Madley the game, starting to wonder as well why he
wasn't

Surely Mike Dean should have given a drop ball after the ball
struck him. Not a free kick from which they eventually scored.

Great decision there from Darren Cann
Also why have I gone away for 20 mins and now we have 3 Mike
Dean pages
Its fustrating

Looks like I'm now going to have to take multiple half days on
Thursdays to watch my team play in god knows where at God knows
what time with God knows who as referee in the UEL next season

Dean was taken off the 2006 Cup Final because Liverpool were in
it. As far as I can recall he has only reffed them when it’s a
Merseyside Derby v Everton
Yes, I know he supports Tranmere but why was he given this
match? Is this not a blatant error from the PGMOL?

Hes reffed their games against burnley and sheffield united this
season, he's also done evertons games against west brom and
leicester, so i dont see any issue with him doing the merseyside
teams, the postcode rule was abolished years ago, no error from
pgmol here.

Postcode rule was scrapped years ago, and that was why he was
taken off the Cup final, incorrectly in my opinion. This season
he has refereed ...
Liverpool vs Sheff United on 24/10
Liverpool vs Burnley on 21/01
Everton vs West Brom on 19/09
Everton vs Leicester on 21/01

2 key incidents:
1. the offside, IMO correct call by Darren Cann. Looks harsh on
1st viewing but LOTG pretty clear - he was obstructing the
goalkeepers view
2. The 1st Liverpool goal. Poor decision from Mike Dean. Must
have just had a brain wave and forgotten the rule - can’t think
of any other reason why he gave a free kick. Should have been a
drop ball
