Simon Hooper - West Brom v Southampton

Can someone explain how that was offside?
VAR used the lines on a player who was inactive in the play and
was marginally in an offside position but the goalscorer was
clearly further from goal and it was a shoelace decision on the
       player furthest forward.
Only thing I can think is that there was no clear picture but
adding all the angles up was enough to make it clear and
       obvious.

Right I'm going to just state pure fact here - Kevin Friend and
Simon Beck should be sacked.. Simple. They don't have a clue
what they are doing. Awaiting the rubbish statement where
they'll try prove they are right....

Just been said there wasn't a camera angle to prove if he was on
or offside so they had to stick with on field decision......

And as proven.... utter tripe from the VAR Hub... how long more
do we have to stick by incompetence...

They have said they couldn’t draw a definitive line due to the
technology, that decision to me states that common sense has
gone out of the game that was clear and obvious without the
lines, the assistant had a tough angle and got it wrong
understandably but var was shocking there

It said they couldn’t use the lines, if there was daylight
between the players the lines should only be used for tight
       calls, if at all

       Complete and utter rubbish.
they put a line on the heel of the defender and from that with
the naked eye it is obvious the player who headed the ball is
       onside.
Make no mistake on screen the put a line on the player who wasnt
       interfereeing, then announced offside.
From that point any statemtn is a cover up.
It doesnt matter though its not that WBA need the points
