Behind the goal line (not between posts)
Goalkeeper recovered ball, everyone stood still, Mr Bourne waved
play on (assistant may have been at fault as he did not put his
flag up) even though he was close bye.

You’ve just answered your own question. How can the referee be
expected to give a decision there?

Seems to have been interesting at Sunderland-no idea what the
referee's performance was like-incident in tunnel at half-time
according to Oxford's manager who finished being banished to the
stands!
Any body there to confirm events?

I know Rob Lewis refereed Tranmere about three weeks ago, but
there's no real reason why he couldn't have gone to Prenton Park
instead of shuffling Sarginson about.
