It’s been a while since we had a Russian official in charge of
England.
A little surprised Brych is out for the Hungary game, I stand to
be corrected but aren’t relations between the two nations fairly
good?
Decent games for Pawson and Jovanović.

More than fairly good - they are our brothers. We even have a
dedicated friendship day which is today as it happens! 23rd
March.
Lengyel, Magyar - két jó barát. Polak, Węgier, dwa
bratanki.
Happy we get a decent referee, rare we get one of the big
hitters.

Nice to see Hennessy with a game after his EL GS debut in
December, I would rate him above Harvey so I think the pairing
with Hennessy as referee and Harvey as FO makes sense. I still
hope Doyle can secure an appointment in later rounds.
Not a bad game for Collum and Frappart with a very important
observer. Does anyone know why Frappart is appointed with male
assistants for the last while? Seems unfair to the Irish and
French AR who were good enough to be appointed to the Super Cup
with her but no longer it seems...
Interestingly Ivan Kružliak has been appointed to the Qatar -
Azerbaijan friendly, nice to see him with an international match
while he is still banned from the top league domestically.

I've seen Kirill Levnikov in Hungary a few times over the past
2-3 seasons. Decent young referee, looks to be a real talent.
Big game for him, hope he does well.

The Frappart appointment was expected IMO, and indeed she has
attracted an important observer. It seems she is a lock for EURO
2020 (in 2021) so I guess the observers will be looking at what
type of game she will likely receive then and bonding a settled
team to go with her.
A decent game for Hernandez Hernandez, certainly not one of the
bigger hitters in Spain but nonetheless a good tie. That match
could have easily gone to Gil Manzano as elite or another elite
official.

The Russian had a decent enough game at Wembley although I did
feel he got in the way of play at times. An ex-semi-pro
apparently and looked a good prospect.
Quite a game in Hungary it seems (bmb) ;D

Also sounds like Del Cerro Grande was not up to the mark at
Hampden this evening, and a card fest to boot.
