Jon Moss - Manchester City v Southampton

I haven't a clue what game either him or the VAR are watching. A
penalty for me for the Foden incident with the keeper. Fouls the
player and doesn't get near the ball.
To me this is just a simple penalty call. Good spot for the City
penalty, but somehow decides not to issue a yellow card.

Even if he got a touch, he tripped the attacker preventing him
from playing the ball which was within playing distance. No
defence for that decision. May not be a KMI given the score, but
it does not say much for the refeering team.

Clearly a foul on Foden and a penalty. No idea why VAR did not
give it. Souness on TV cannot be right can he, that VAR will not
       over rule there mates!!!!

Not sure if an official statement but seen a tweet saying that
Moss thought the GK got a touch and VAR couldn't determine if
there was or wasn't so couldn't overrule the on field decision

That was what was reported by the Radio 5 Live commentators
after contacting Stockley Park for clarification, though they
said the referee "said" rather than "thought."

If that is from the pgmol then they and their members are making
a laughing stock of the situation.
One week you can take ball and man result penalty, the next week
       its not.
I wont say too much about moss its all been said before many
times, if he cant see it how can var say that wasnt
       A clear and obvious error.
I hate to be critical of referees, but they arent helping
themselves, in fact they are actually going out of their way
To prove graeme souness is right ie they wont overrule their
colleagues and make it up as they go along from one week to the
       next.
       Utter shambles.

But nothing will change. Like straight away in my view Moss and
Madley should be taking off their games this weekend and fined
like players and managers are when they say anything. fed up of
trying to defend the indefensible every second game.. The
standard is appalling with a capital A in my view.

And this is where my issue is - had this been Hooper or Scott
for example we now wouldn’t see them in PL action for weeks. As
it is, Hooper has to wait ages between games despite the fact
       he’s having a decent season!
As an aside, can we just give praise to Phil Foden for getting
straight back up and on with the game. Honesty is a rarity in
the modern game so fair play - I hope this incident hasn’t
       dissuaded him from being honest!

       .
Please don't take Madley off his game on Saturday. He's at the
       Riverside

First of all i commend foden in his actions.
However Once again referees do not encourage honesty, thus
diving and trying to con officials will continue unabated, and
as such officials reap what they sow.
