       A.Madley Aston Villa v Wolves

Thought madley had a good game today at villa park, controlled
       well with little fuss.
Picked out a Villa player tugging a wolves players shirt first
as the ar (west) was flagging for a free kick to villa
For a foul in the same incident.
Hopefully his performance today will encourage the powers that
be to give him more top flight games.
Good to hear commentators praising him, but then don goodman is
usually good at praising officials when they are doing well.

Very good performance. Let's hope he gets more opportunities..
(the number of referees pulling out, there will be no one else
       left soon!)

Why do sensible posts attract flippant comments. Isn't picking
on Trevor Kettle wearing a bit thin??

I've always rated Andy, a very good referee who's always there
for those at the lower levels

I agree that a run of games is crucial for his standing and
development. It was always suggested by people on here that the
wrong Madley was first promoted, so hopefully now Andy can prove
it was better later than never.

Andy Madley was, for quite a fair while, clearly towards the top
of the SG2 and seemed to be kept waiting a bit for his promotion
to SG1. I believe there were just one or two things about his
performances which he had to iron out and therefore he was given
time to do that before being thrust into the sharper and harsher
spotlight of the Premiership. Very sensibly on the part of the
authorities. Hopefully he will, at the right pace, establish
himself at this level in the way that Kavanagh has.

I have to agree that he had a very good game and was very aware
of the recent trend when players who have just lost the ball
throw themselves to the ground in an attempt to 'win' a free
       kick.
I also watched him on Wednesday, when he was at Turf Moor for
Burnley v Leicester, and I thought that he had an excellent
       game that night too.
Since 13 December he has refereed solely in the PL and has been
in the middle on 9 games plus 3 FA Cup games and, hopefully,
       this will continue.

Agree with all the posts! Only 1 yellow as well compared to 12
when they met at Molineux. What does that say ?

The players behaved in a better manner than at molyneux.
It was a very niggly/tetchy game at molyneux and difficult to
       referee.
Perhaps there being no grealish playing made a difference,
       certainly to the foul count.
